The Italian Embassy in Tokyo is organizing the:
Italy-Japan 2006 Workshop
Robots & Humans
with the scientific and technical support of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Pisa (Italy), and the Waseda University, Tokyo (Japan). The workshop will be held on December 14, 2006 at the Italian Cultural Institute, in Tokyo, Japan (see the detail page).
Following the successful Italy-Japan 2001 Workshop "HUMANOIDS - A Techno-Ontological Approach", the Italy-Japan 2003 Workshop "Research on Humanoid, Service and Rescue Robots in Italy and Japan", and the Italy-Japan 2005 Workshop “The man and the robot: Italian and Japanese approaches”, this year the Joint Robotics Seminar will address the theme “Robots and Humans” and will pave the way for the great robotic event “I robot sono tra noi/Robots already among us” which will open the upcoming “Primavera italiana in Giappone” (to be held in Tokyo, on 22-23 March 2007) organised by the Italian Embassy in Tokyo.
Two invited speakers from Italy and six selected speakers from Japan, along with other participants connected via videoconference from Italy will present a general overview of robotics: from technology to industry, from philosophy to sociology, from arts to history, from anthropology to education (see the program).
